Conway RLC 9.9

Conway’s RLC 9.9 model from 2023 is a high-performance hardtail bike that impresses with its high-quality carbon frame and a host of top-class components. The frame, a CONWAY Carbon URLC hardtail, is available in a 44 cm size and contributes to a maximum load capacity of 130 kg, guaranteeing both robustness and lightness. Priced at 6,999 euros, the bike is positioned in the premium segment, a fact reflected in its specification.

Braking performance is provided by the SRAM ‘Level Ultimate’ brakes in the eye-catching Rainbow finish, complemented by SRAM ‘HS2’ brake discs with a diameter of 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear. The drivetrain features the 12-speed SRAM “XX1 AXS” system with the matching SRAM “Eagle AXS” shifter, enabling precise and responsive gear changes. The fork, a DT “F232 ONE” with 100 mm of travel, offers excellent damping and control on uneven terrain.

The drivetrain is completed by the SRAM “XX1 Eagle” crankset with a 32-tooth chainring configuration and a SRAM “XG 1299 Eagle” cassette, which offers a range of 10–52 teeth. The handlebars, a LEVEL 9 “Pro Team Carbon Flat Bar”, are 760 mm wide and, together with the SQlab “70X” grips, ensure optimum comfort and control. The LEVEL 9 “Race A-Head” stem is 75 mm long and has a diameter of 31.8 mm.

The MAVIC rims and spokes, combined with the SCHWALBE “Racing Ray” tyres in the EVO Addix version, offer excellent rolling performance and grip. The hubs, also MAVIC “Crossmax Carbon SL R”, are sized at 15 x 110 mm at the front and 12 x 148 mm at the rear. The CONWAY “1489 super light” saddle, together with the LEVEL 9 “Race” seatpost, ensures a comfortable riding position.

With a stack of 618 mm, a seat tube length of 440 mm and a top tube of 600 mm, the RLC 9.9 offers balanced geometry, complemented by a seat tube angle of 74 degrees and a chainstay length of 424 mm. The wheelbase measures 1100 mm in total, which contributes to stable handling. Overall, the RLC 9.9 is an excellent bike for ambitious riders who value quality and performance.
