Conway RLC 9

The "RLC 9" model from Conway, launched in 2021, is a state-of-the-art bicycle that stands out for its high-quality components and well-thought-out design. The frame is made from CONWAY Carbon URLC, which not only makes the bike lightweight but also ensures high stability. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, which highlights its robust construction and its ability to safely carry even heavier riders and luggage.

When it comes to brakes, the RLC 9 features SHIMANO “XTR BR-M9100” brakes combined with SHIMANO “XTR BL-M9100” brake levers. The brake discs measure 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear; both are SHIMANO “RT-MT900” models, ensuring reliable braking performance. The derailleur is also from Shimano – specifically the “XTR RD-M9100 Shadow Plus” model – which features 12 speeds and is operated by the SHIMANO “XTR SL-M9100” shifter. This enables precise and rapid gear changes.

The bike’s fork is the DT “F232” with 100 mm of travel, ensuring a comfortable ride even on uneven terrain. The bottom bracket is the SHIMANO “BB-MT 800PA”, and the crankset is the SHIMANO “XTR FC-M9100-1” with Boost and 32 teeth. The cassette is the SHIMANO “XTR CS-M9100” with a range of 10–51 teeth, whilst the drivetrain is powered by the SHIMANO “XTR CN-9100” chain.

The handlebars are RACEFACE “Next Carbon” with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 720 mm, complemented by CONWAY “Sport fix” grips. The stem is also from RACEFACE, the “Turbine” model, with a diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset is manufactured to the IS42 / ZS56 Blocklock standard.

The wheels feature DT SWISS “XRC1501” rims, fitted with SCHWALBE tyres: the “Racing Ray” EVO Addix at the front and the “Racing Ralph” EVO Addix at the rear, both in size 60-622 and foldable. The hubs are also DT SWISS “XRC1501”, measuring 15 x 110 mm at the front and 12 x 148 mm at the rear, connected by DT SWISS spokes.

The spec is rounded off by the CONWAY “1489 super light” saddle and the RACEFACE “Next Carbon” seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm. Priced at EUR 4,999, the Conway RLC 9 offers excellent value for money for discerning cyclists who prioritise quality and performance.
