Conway MC 527

Conway’s “MC 527” model from 2021 is a versatile bicycle which, at a price of 749 euros, represents an attractive option for cyclists. The aluminium frame provides a robust foundation for the bike, whilst the maximum load capacity of 130 kg ensures a high load-bearing capacity. The braking system comprises SHIMANO “BR-MT200” brakes and the matching “BL-MT200” brake levers, with 160 mm front and rear brake discs, providing reliable and controlled braking performance.

The MC 527’s drivetrain is fitted with a SHIMANO “Alivio RD-M3100” 9-speed rear derailleur, complemented by the “Altus SL-M2000” shift lever and the “Altus FD-M2000” front derailleur. In total, the rider has 27 gears at their disposal, allowing for flexible adaptation to different route profiles. The RST “Blaze RLO” fork, with 100 mm of travel, ensures a comfortable ride, particularly on uneven terrain.

For lighting, the model is fitted with a HERRMANS “H-Black MR4” front light and a HERRMANS “H-Trace Mini” rear light with a parking light function, powered by a SHIMANO “DH3D37” QR hub dynamo. The pedals are Welgo “C280DU” models, whilst the bottom bracket is a SHIMANO “BB-UN100”. The SHIMANO “FC-M2000” crankset offers a gear ratio of 22/30/40 teeth with a length of 170 mm, and the SHIMANO “HG200” cassette has a range of 11–34 teeth.

The handlebars are CONWAY risers with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 720 mm, fitted with CONWAY “Sport” grips. The stem is also by CONWAY and has a diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset is a ZS44/ZS56. The RODI “Blackrock 23” rims are fitted with IMPAC “Smartpac” tyres in size 54-584, which feature reflective strips.

The front hub is a SHIMANO “DH3D37” QR hub dynamo and the rear hub is a SHIMANO “FH-TX505” QR hub, fitted with black steel spokes. The saddle is the Conway “3378 light” model, mounted on a CONWAY patented seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm. SKS “Velo 65 Mountain” mudguards provide protection against splashing water, and a 40 mm Conway Alloy kickstand ensures the bike stands securely. Overall, the Conway MC 527 offers a solid specification for everyday use as well as for sporty rides.
