Conway MC 3.9

Conway’s “MC 3.9” model from 2024 is a robust aluminium hardtail bike that stands out for its solid spec and attractive value for money. Priced at 699 EUR, the bike offers a wide range of technical features that make it suitable for both everyday use and light to moderate off-road adventures.

The MC 3.9’s frame is made of aluminium and has a seat tube length of 41 cm, making it a stable and lightweight choice. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 16 kg. Braking performance is provided by TEKTRO “HD-M275” disc brakes, fitted with 160 mm rotors at both the front and rear. These offer reliable stopping power in a variety of conditions.

The drivetrain features a 21-speed SHIMANO “TX800”, which, in combination with SHIMANO “SL-M315” shift levers and a SHIMANO “Altus FD-M313” front derailleur, enables precise and smooth gear changes. The SHIMANO “FC-TY301” crankset, with 24/34/42-tooth chainrings, and the SHIMANO “CS-HG200” cassette with 12–32 teeth, offer a wide gear range that is well suited to varied terrain.

The RST “Gila” fork, with 100 mm of travel, ensures comfort and control on uneven terrain. For lighting, the bike is fitted with a HERRMANS “H-Black MR4” front light and a HERRMANS “H-Trace Mini” rear light with a parking light function, both powered by a SHIMANO “DH3D37” hub dynamo.

Other features include CONWAY riser handlebars with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 720 mm, CONWAY hollow-section rims, and IMPAC “Smartpac” tyres with reflective strips for improved visibility. The SELLE ROYAL “Vivo Athletic Ergo” saddle offers comfort on longer rides, supported by a CONWAY patented seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 300 mm.

The bike is also fitted with SKS “Velo 65 Mountain” mudguards, which protect against dirt and spray. A Conway Alloy kickstand ensures convenient parking of the bike. With a wheelbase of 1069 mm and a seat tube angle of 72 degrees, the MC 3.9 offers balanced geometry that ensures both stability and agility.
