Cannondale Scalpel Hi-MOD 1

The Cannondale Scalpel Hi-MOD 1 from 2024 is a state-of-the-art mountain bike that is characterised by its advanced technology and high-quality equipment. The frame is made of Scalpel Hi-Mod carbon and offers 100 mm of suspension travel. With its Proportional Response Tuned technology and FlexPivot chainstays, it ensures optimum damping and stability. The bottom bracket is a PF30-83, and the frame has a tapered head tube and a Speed Release 12 mm thru axle.

The bike is equipped with SRAM Level TLM hydraulic disc brakes, which offer excellent braking performance with 180/160 mm CentreLine rotors. Shifting is handled by the electronic SRAM X01 Eagle AXS system, which enables precise and reliable gear selection across 12 gears. The shift lever is also a SRAM Eagle AXS, 12-speed.

The Lefty Ocho Carbon fork offers 100 mm of travel and is equipped with a chamber damper with remote lockout and the OppO Spring System. The Fox Float SL Factory EVOL SV shock with Kashima coating and special tuning also provides 100 mm of travel and has a remote lockout.

The bottom bracket is a SRAM DUB PF30 MTB83, while the crankset consists of a SRAM X1 Carbon Eagle with 34 teeth and a 55 mm chainline. The sprocket is a SRAM XG-1295, X01 Eagle with a gradation of 10-52 teeth. The drivetrain is a SRAM GX Eagle, 12-speed system.

The handlebars are made of Cannondale 1 Flat Carbon and have a width of 760 mm and a backsweep of 9 degrees. The grips are made of Cannondale XC silicone. The stem is made of Cannondale 1, 7075 Alloy, has an angle of 7 degrees and a diameter of 31.8 mm.

The rims are HollowGram 25 Superlight Hi-Impact Carbon with 28 spokes and an inner width of 25 mm, which are tubeless ready. The tyres are Schwalbe Racing Ray EVO, 29x2.25", SnakeSkin, Addix Speedgrip at the front and Schwalbe Racing Ralph EVO, 29x2.25", SnakeSkin, Addix Speed at the rear, both also tubeless ready. The hubs are HollowGram Lefty 60 at the front and HollowGram with DT Swiss Star Ratchet Internals, 12x148 mm at the rear. The spokes are DT Swiss Competition Race, straight-pull.

The saddle is a Prologo Dimension NDR with Tirox Rails, and the seatpost is made of Cannondale 1 UD Carbon with the dimensions 31.6x400 mm.

The geometry of the bike includes a reach of 435 mm, a stack of 591 mm, a seat tube length of 440 mm, a top tube length of 599 mm, a head tube angle of 68 degrees, a seat tube angle of 75 degrees, a head tube length of 105 mm, a chainstay length of 436 mm, a fork pre-bend of 55 mm, a standover height of 745 mm and a wheelbase of 1151 mm.
