Cannondale Jekyll 2

The "Jekyll 2" model from the Cannondale brand from 2024 is a state-of-the-art mountain bike designed for demanding descents and technical terrain. With a price tag of EUR 4999, the bike offers an impressive combination of high-quality materials and advanced technology.

The frame of the Jekyll 2 is made of carbon and has a suspension travel of 165 mm. It is equipped with the Proportional Response Tuned System, which enables optimum adjustment to different riding conditions. The frame is also equipped with a Guidler pulley and a chain guide and supports both BSA 73 bottom brackets and ISCG05 standards. The tapered head tube and the Ai offset provide additional stability and precision.

For the brakes, Cannondale relies on Shimano M6120 hydraulic disc brakes with 203 mm RT64 rotors front and rear, which offer reliable and powerful braking performance. The gearing consists of the Shimano Deore M6100 system with 12 gears, which is operated by Shimano Deore shifters. There is no front derailleur, which reduces weight and simplifies maintenance.

The RockShox Zeb Select fork offers 170 mm of travel and is equipped with a 15x110 mm thru-axle, a tapered head tube and a 44 mm offset. The shock is a Fox Float DPX2 Performance EVOL with 165 mm travel and three-way adjustable damping.

The bike is supplied without pedals, giving the rider the freedom to fit their favourite pedals. The bottom bracket is a Shimano Deore BSA 73, combined with a Shimano Deore 6120 crankset, which has a 30-tooth chainring. The sprocket is a Shimano Deore M6100 with a gradation of 10-51 teeth.

The handlebar is a Cannondale 3 Riser made of 6061 aluminium with a width of 780 mm, a rise of 30 mm and a backsweep of 8 degrees. The grips are Cannondale TrailShroom, while the stem is also made of 6061 aluminium and has a diameter of 31.8 mm.

The wheels consist of WTB STX i30 TCS rims, which are tubeless ready and fitted with Maxxis Assegai tyres at the front (29 x 2.5") and Maxxis Minion DHR II tyres at the rear (29 x 2.4"). Both tyres offer EXO+ puncture protection and are also tubeless ready. The hubs are Shimano MT400 at the front and Shimano MT410 at the rear, both equipped with thru axles.

The saddle is a Cannondale Stage 3 and the seatpost is a TranzX dropper post with internal cable routing and an adjustment range of 150 mm in sizes M to XL.

The Jekyll 2 has a gross weight of 51000 g, a reach of 475 mm and a stack of 643 mm. The seat tube length is 445 mm, the top tube length is 623 mm, the head tube angle is 64 degrees and the seat tube angle is 78 degrees. The head tube length is 120 mm, the chainstay length is 442 mm, the fork fork bend is 44 mm, the standover height is 760 mm and the total wheelbase is 1264 mm.
