Cannondale Habit Carbon 1 AXS

The 2024 "Habit Carbon 1 AXS" model from Cannondale is a high-quality mountain bike designed for demanding riders. With a price tag of EUR 6549, this bike offers an impressive combination of advanced technology and robust design.

The frame of the Habit Carbon 1 AXS is made of full carbon fibre and offers 130 mm of suspension travel. The Proportional Response Suspension and Geo ensure optimum adaptation to different body sizes and riding conditions. The frame is equipped with a 55 mm chainline, ISCG05 mounts, a BSA threaded bottom bracket and a post-mount brake mount.

For the brakes, the bike comes with SRAM G2 R hydraulic disc brakes, which are equipped with 180 mm HS2 centre lock rotors both front and rear. The brake levers are also from SRAM G2 R and offer precise control and reliability.

The shifting system consists of the electronic SRAM GX Eagle AXS T-Type drivetrain, which is operated with an AXS T-Type pod controller. With 12 gears, the bike offers a wide gear range, which is supported by the SRAM GX Eagle T-Type crankset with 30 teeth and the 10-52 sprocket.

The RockShox Pike Select+ fork with 140 mm travel and DebonAir technology and the RockShox Deluxe Select+ shock with 130 mm travel ensure outstanding suspension performance. Both components offer adjustable damping to adapt to different riding conditions.

The bottom bracket is a SRAM DUB BSA MTB73 Wide, while the crankset consists of a SRAM GX Eagle T-Type with X-Sync chainring. The handlebars are a HollowGram SAVE riser bar made of carbon with a width of 780 mm, a rise of 30 mm, a backsweep of 8 degrees and a clamping of 35 mm. The grips are Cannondale TrailShroom.

The stem, also from Cannondale, is made of 7075 aluminium and has a length of 35 mm at an angle of 0 degrees. The integrated headset has sealed bearings and is tapered.

The wheels consist of Stan's NoTubes Arch MK4 rims, which are tubeless-ready and connected with DT Swiss Champion spokes. The hubs are a Formula 15x110 mm Thru-Axle at the front and a DT Swiss Star Ratchet 12x148 mm Thru-Axle at the rear. The tyres are a Maxxis Dissector at the front and a Maxxis Rekon at the rear, both in size 29x2.4" and tubeless-ready.

The saddle is a Cannondale Scoop Shallow Elite with Cro-Mo rails, while the seatpost is a Cannondale DownLow Dropper, which is internally routed and offers an adjustment range of 125 mm (XS-S), 150 mm (M) or 170 mm (L-XL) depending on the frame size.

The geometry of the bike includes a reach of 430 mm, a stack of 623 mm, a seat tube length of 380 mm, a top tube length of 563 mm, a head tube angle of 66 degrees, a seat tube angle of 78 degrees, a head tube length of 110 mm, a chainstay length of 434 mm, a fork rake of 44 mm, a standover height of 730 mm and a wheelbase of 1173 mm.
