The Scalpel Crb 4’s frame is made from BallisTec carbon and offers 100 mm of suspension travel. It is equipped with Proportional Response Tuned technology, which allows for optimal adjustment to suit riders of different heights. The FlexPivot chainstays increase stiffness and durability, whilst the PF30-83 bottom bracket shell and tapered head tube provide additional stability. The frame is also fitted with a Speed Release 12 mm thru-axle system and Ai-Offset, which allows for better chain alignment and increased tyre clearance. Compatibility with the Stash system also allows tools and spare parts to be integrated directly into the frame.

The bike’s braking system consists of Shimano MT500 hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm RT54 rotors at the front and rear, which, together with the Shimano MT500 brake levers, deliver reliable braking performance. Gear changes are handled by the SRAM NX Eagle system, which is fitted with an SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed shifter and an SRAM SX Eagle 11-50 cassette. The drivetrain is complemented by the Truvativ Stylo 6K DUB crankset with a 34-tooth chainring.

Front suspension is provided by a Fox Float Performance 32 SC fork with 100 mm of travel, a 15x110 mm thru-axle and a tapered steerer tube. This fork features a remote control for easy adjustment whilst riding. The Fox Float DPS Performance Elite EVOL shock also offers 100 mm of travel and is fitted with a remote lockout and an adjustable rebound function.

The handlebars consist of a Cannondale 2 Flat handlebar made from 2014 aluminium, with a width of 760 mm, a rise of 3° and a sweep of 8°. The ESI Chunky Silicone grips, with a diameter of 32 mm, provide additional comfort. The stem is a Cannondale 3, made from 6061 aluminium, with a diameter of 31.8 mm and an angle of 7°.

The wheels are fitted with Stan’s NoTubes Crest S1 rims, which are tubeless-ready and have 32 spokes. The tyres are Schwalbe Racing Ray Performance (front) and Schwalbe Racing Ralph Performance (rear), both sized 29 x 2.25" and also tubeless-ready. The hubs are Shimano MT400 models with a 15x110 mm thru-axle at the front and a 12x148 mm thru-axle at the rear. The spokes are DT Swiss Champion.

The saddle is a Prologo Dimension STN NDR with steel rails, and the seatpost is a Cannondale C3, made from 6061 aluminium, with a length of 350 mm for size S and 400 mm for sizes M–XL. Pedals are not included.
