Bulls Grinder 1

The "Grinder 1" model from Bulls, released in 2023, is a versatile and robust bike that is particularly well-suited to bikepacking. The bike features a 6061 aluminium frame, which offers a clean and modern look thanks to smooth welding and internal cable routing. The frame is also designed to support a maximum load of up to 125 kg.

The Grinder 1’s braking system consists of SHIMANO BR-RS305 disc brakes, fitted with 160 mm rotors and Centre Lock mounts at both the front and rear. This ensures reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. The bike’s gear system is based on the SHIMANO Claris system, which, with 16 gears and SHIMANO Claris ST-R2000 shift levers, enables precise and smooth gear changes. The front derailleur and crankset, also from the SHIMANO Claris range, contribute to the high gear-changing performance.

The Grinder 1’s fork is made of aluminium and complements the bike’s overall design well. The MonkeyLink Recharge model is intended for use as the lighting system, although the front and rear lights are not included. The drivetrain is complemented by a KMC HG-40 chain and a SHIMANO CS-HG50-8 cassette with a 11-34T range.

The bike’s cockpit features Gravel S handlebars and 3mm Comfortgriptape grips, which ensure a comfortable grip. The stem is an MTB-S, which is CCS Slot Mount-ready, and the headset is an FSA ORBIT C40ACB (NO.42/ACB). The wheelsets feature DDM-2 rims and are fitted with SCHWALBE CX COMP K-GUARD 40-622 tyres, which offer a good balance of road and off-road performance. The hubs are fitted with Centre Lock and quick-release mechanisms.

The saddle is a BULLS Gravel model, mounted on a BULLS aluminium seatpost, which ensures extra comfort on long rides. The Bulls Grinder 1 thus offers a balanced combination of performance, comfort and versatility at a price of EUR 1,299.
