BH Bikes ULTIMATE EVO 9.0

The "ULTIMATE EVO 9.0" model from BH Bikes, released in 2021, is a high-quality mountain bike which, at a price of 4,899 EUR, is positioned in the premium price range. The frame is made from Ultimate Carbon and features a range of modern specifications, such as a 148x12 mm axle, a PF92 bottom bracket, a BlockLock headset, internal cable routing and a flat-mount brake mount. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 140 kg.

The ULTIMATE EVO 9.0 is fitted with Shimano XT brakes, featuring 180 mm discs at the front and 160 mm at the rear, complemented by Shimano XT brake levers. The groupset is also Shimano XT – specifically the 8100 model with 12 speeds – which ensures precise and reliable gear changes. The shift levers are also Shimano XT 8100.

The bike is fitted with a fork offering 100 mm of travel, which provides good shock absorption on uneven terrain. The bottom bracket is from Shimano, whilst the crankset is a Shimano XT 8100 with a 34-tooth chainring and a length of 175 mm. The cassette is a Shimano XT 8100 with a range of 10 to 51 teeth.

The handlebars on the ULTIMATE EVO 9.0 are BH Evo Carbon mid-flat, with a width of 760 mm, a rise of 8 mm, an up-sweep of 5 degrees and a back-sweep of 7 degrees. The grips are BH Control Grip Lock On, and the stem is a BH Evo with a length of 80 mm, a diameter of 31.8 mm and an angle of +/-6 degrees.

The headset is a BH Evo by Accros BlockLock with integrated stainless steel ball bearings. The rims are BH Evo Carbon Tubeless, 25 mm wide with 28 spokes. The tyres are Maxxis Ardent Race EXO TLR in size 2.20 at the front and Maxxis Ikon EXO in the same size at the rear.

The wheelset consists of BH Evo Carbon Tubeless rims with a width of 25 mm and 28 spokes. The saddle is a Prologo Scratch M5, whilst the seatpost is a BH EVO Carbon with a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 420 mm. The seatpost clamp is a Bike Yoke with a diameter of 31.8 mm.

The frame geometry features a reach of 389 mm, a stack of 608 mm and a seat tube length of 400 mm. These dimensions contribute to a balanced and comfortable riding position, suitable for both long rides and challenging trails.
