BH Bikes EXPERT 5.0

The "EXPERT 5.0" model from BH Bikes, released in 2021, is a high-quality mountain bike that stands out for its robust construction and well-thought-out features. The bike’s frame is made from Expert Alu 29" and, with a 148x12 mm thru-axle system, an integrated 42ACB headset and internal cable routing, provides a solid foundation for demanding rides. The frame is also designed to support a maximum load of up to 140 kg, ensuring high load-bearing capacity.

The bike’s braking system comprises Shimano MT201 brakes with 180 mm discs at the front and 160 mm discs at the rear, which, together with the Shimano MT201 brake levers, ensure reliable braking power. The drivetrain is fitted with the Shimano Deore 6100 series, which offers 12 gears and, thanks to the Shimano Deore 6100 shift levers, enables precise and smooth gear changes. The drivetrain is also supported by Shimano Deore components and comprises an MT510 crankset with a length of 175 mm, as well as a cassette with a range of 10 to 51 teeth.

The EXPERT 5.0’s fork has 100 mm of travel, providing extra comfort and control on uneven terrain. The bottom bracket is also from Shimano, underlining the reliability and durability of the drivetrain components. The handlebars are a BH Lite flat model with a width of 780 mm, whilst the BH Lock On grips provide a secure grip.

The connection between the handlebars and the frame is provided by a BH SL stem, 80 mm long with a diameter of 31.8 mm, which is adjustable by +/-6º. The headset is a BH SL integrated model with sealed bearings, ensuring durable and low-maintenance steering. The rims and wheelset are also from the BH Lite series, underlining the bike’s consistent quality.

The EXPERT 5.0 is fitted with Continental Race King 2.20 and Maxxis Ikon 2.20 tyres, which provide excellent traction and durability. The Prologo Nago RS saddle, together with the BH Lite seatpost (31.6 mm diameter and 420 mm length) and the Expert seatpost clamp (34.9 mm), provides a comfortable riding position.

The frame’s geometry features a reach of 389 mm, a stack of 620 mm and a seat tube length of 400 mm, enabling a balanced riding position. The model is priced at 1,199 EUR, making it an attractive option in the mountain bike sector.
