Bergamont E-Solace Edition white/black/blue

The “E-Solace Edition white/black/blue” model from Bergamont, launched in 2020, is an e-bike priced at EUR 2,999, placing it in the mid-range price segment. The frame is made from a super-lightweight AL-6061 tubular set and seamlessly integrates the Fazua battery, contributing to an elegant and modern design. The bike’s total weight is 20 kg, making it relatively light despite the electric drive.

The braking system consists of Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, fitted with SM-RT10 rotors, each with a diameter of 160 mm at both the front and rear. The brake levers are also by Shimano and, thanks to the hydraulic assistance, offer precise and reliable braking performance.

The bike features an 8-speed Shimano Nexus gear system and a Shimano Alfine gear lever (SL-S503), which is a Rapidfire Plus lever. This enables quick and easy gear changes. The fork is a BGM Urban aluminium rigid fork with an aluminium steerer tube and disc brake mount, which contributes to the bike’s stability and durability.

Lighting is provided by a B&M Upp front light with 30 lux and LED technology, as well as a B&M Toplight 2 C rear light, also featuring LED technology. These lights are specifically designed for e-bikes and ensure good visibility in traffic.

The pedals are made of aluminium and contribute to the bike’s robust build. The drivetrain is supported by a Fazua bottom bracket, whilst the FSA (CK-746) crankset is fitted with a 42-tooth chainring. The chainring has 19 teeth and the chain is a KMC Z1 with an anti-rust coating.

The handlebars are BGM Pro Riser handlebars with a 15° rise, combined with Ergon GA30 grips for optimum comfort. The stem is also from BGM Pro and offers multi-position adjustment from 10° to 25° with a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset is a semi-integrated A-Headset (BGM Comp) with a size of 1 1/8".

The rims are Mach 1 640 models with disc mounts and 32 spoke holes, fitted with Schwalbe Big Ben tyres (50-622) featuring Kevlarguard and reflective strips for added safety. The front and rear hubs are by Shimano, with the rear hub being a Shimano Nexus SG-C6001-8 freehub.

The saddle is an Ergon SFC30 model, mounted on a BGM Pro seatpost. The mudguards are Curana Apollo models made of aluminium with stainless steel struts, making them particularly durable. An Atran kickstand and a Racktime / Solace luggage rack complete the specification.

The motor is a Fazua Evation 1.0 with an output of 250 W and a voltage of 36 V, which assists the bike up to 25 km/h. The battery has a capacity of 252 Wh and is also from Fazua. The display is integrated into the top tube, which keeps the bike’s design sleek.
