The Maxxis BIKE Transalp 2021 was a tribute to the maiden voyage of the legendary mountain bike stage race. While the weather was always favourable, the same could not be said of the route. The route of the 23rd BIKE Transalp was more rustic than ever and led back to the origins of the seven-day race through the Alps. The race resembled a giant jigsaw puzzle with pieces of lonely mountain paths, endless steep ramps, tricky climbs, rapid gravel descents, exposed downhills and plenty of challenging trails. Put together from Nauders to Riva del Garda, they resulted in a sporting work of art that caused a real explosion of emotions. The closely mingled emotions of frustration and joy, anger and happiness, rage and euphoria merged into a dance of endorphins at the finish in Riva. No wonder: crossing the finish line surrounded by countless like-minded people after seven hard days, accompanied by breathtaking Alpine panoramas, is an incomparable and unforgettable feeling. Anyone who wants to take part in next year's BIKE Transalp want to be at the start, can now register at more favourable conditions.
Next year's BIKE Transalp 2022 will take place as usual in the summer, from 3-9 July. Anyone who is already in the mood for the next stage race (again) can benefit from the "Super Early Discount" until 30 August.
