The most important new feature is the improved integration of Komoot routes into the eBike Flow app. With the new "Live Sync" function, bikers can now start the tours they have planned in Komoot much more easily in the eBike Flow app. You can now simply plan the route in Komoot and then transfer it to the eBike Flow app using the "Navigate with Bosch" button. A push notification appears, allowing the route to be opened directly in the app and navigation to be started. This should also make it much easier to make changes to the route while on the move.
In addition to the improved Komoot integration, the eBike Flow app now also offers inspiration for new tours. In the planning view and under "My routes", interesting routes in their vicinity are suggested to users. This should make route planning easier and encourage new discoveries.
With the 1.25 update, Bosch is also introducing improvements to the route display during the ride. In the Ride Screen available in the app, bikers can now switch between the usual navigation with centred current position and a complete overview of the route with a single click. The map is automatically zoomed in or out.
The update offers a new comfort function for e-bikes with Rohloff E-14 gears. Users can specify in the settings of the eBike Flow app that a lower gear is automatically selected when starting off. This makes it easier to set off at traffic lights, for example. The function can be activated in the app under "My eBike" > "eShift". An additional firmware update from Rohloff, which will be made available in the coming weeks, is required to use this function.
Update 1.25 for the Bosch eBike Flow app is now available for all users. It is installed automatically via the respective smartphone app store. For full functionality, in particular the new functions of the Rohloff E-14 gearstick, a firmware update of the eBike system is also required.
