USWE has launched two new backpacks for cross-country mountain bikers and gravel enthusiasts: the Outlander XC and the MTB Hydro. According to the manufacturer, these backpacks are characterised by their lightness and breathable design, which makes them attractive to both performance-oriented athletes and recreational athletes.
According to the manufacturer, the USWE Outlander XC has a breathable mesh on both the back panel and the front straps. This should help to reduce weight and prevent overheating.
All Outlander XC models are equipped with a 1.5-litre hydration bladder. This can be filled with water and ice through a large opening.
Like all USWE backpacks, the Outlander XC also features the patented "No Dancing Monkey" 4-point harness system, which ensures that the backpack does not wobble while riding.
The USWE Outlander XC is available in three different sizes, e.g. available here.
This rucksack is designed to be particularly light and is ideal for gravel or MTB races as well as fast rides where speed is more important than plenty of storage space. The smallest of the three versions also contains the 1.5-litre hydration bladder.
This model offers 4 litres of storage space for additional equipment or energy requirements in addition to hydration - and, according to USWE, without any significant increase in weight.
The Outlander XC with a capacity of 10 litres allows for all-day tours with plenty of luggage. Additional clothing such as jackets or gloves as well as other important items can be stowed here.
The 2-litre version costs 109 euros and is available in black, blue, orange and pink. The 4- and 10-litre versions are available in blue and black for 135 or 149 Euro.
The USWE MTB Hydro is well known and has been on the market for some time. However, the hydration pack is the first USWE model to be available in the new bronze colour. There is now also a new size. Further colour variants are to follow. The 3-litre model is also available in white.
The slimmest model in the series comes with an external detachable organiser pocket for multitool, keys and phone. Without the bag, the rucksack is suitable for race days or fast rides with a lot of effort. A 2-litre hydration bladder is included. The MTB Hydro is available in the colours white, bronze, black and red/black for 149 euros.
This new size is aimed at leisure mountain bikers. It offers enough space for longer rides with additional hydration requirements as well as enough storage space for spare tubes, tools, additional equipment, food and dry clothing sets. A 3-litre hydration bladder is included. Available in bronze and black for 169 euros.
The largest model in the series offers 12 litres of storage space as well as several intelligent and functional storage solutions for dry layers of clothing, food and equipment. A large 3-litre hydration bladder allows you to ride all day without refilling. Available in bronze and black. It costs 174 euros and is available from e.g. at Amazon.
