With the limited edition of the UP Stockholm LTD Backpacks again sets standards in terms of sustainability. The urban rucksack, which is primarily aimed at young professionals and students, is made from 100 per cent surplus materials from the manufacturer's main production. These leftovers have been processed into new products for the limited edition series, allowing Deuter to go one step further and use already sustainable materials in an even more resource-friendly way. The UP Stockholm LTD combines chic city design with functionality. With its modern appearance and practical organisation, the backpack is equally suitable for use in the office, at university or during leisure time.

Sustainable materials and certifications

The environmental friendliness of the UP Stockholm LTD is not only reflected in the use of production surpluses, but also in other sustainable aspects. The main material consists of 50 per cent recycled materials, which further reduces the consumption of resources. Deuter attaches great importance to compliance with the highest environmental standards, which is reflected in several certifications. The backpack carries the bluesign certification, which stands for environmentally friendly and resource-conserving production and takes the entire manufacturing process into account.

UP Stockholm LTD has also been awarded the Green Button, a government seal for sustainably produced textiles that includes both ecological and social criteria. The ClimatePartner certificate rounds off the sustainability awards and confirms the manufacturer's efforts to minimise its ecological footprint. This combination of material selection and certifications positions the UP Stockholm LTD as a particularly environmentally friendly option in the urban backpack segment.

No use of PFAS

The Deuter backpack is manufactured without perfluorinated and polyfluorinated chemicals (PFAS), which minimises the use of environmentally harmful substances that affect the environment and health. PFAS are often used for waterproof coatings as they repel water, dirt and grease. Deuter uses a harmless and environmentally friendly DWR (Durable Water Repellency) impregnation instead.

Functionality and equipment are also right

With a volume of 22 litres, the UP Stockholm LTD backpack offers enough space for your daily office or university essentials or a trip to the gym. The interior organisation ensures that all items have a fixed place and are quickly to hand. A special feature is the U-zip opening, which allows easy access to the entire contents. Inside there is a main compartment suitable for organising files, which offers enough space for documents and papers. There is also a padded laptop compartment that holds notebooks up to 16 inches in size.

Additional pockets for documents and valuables complete the organisation and ensure that smaller items do not get lost in the backpack. Not only stylish, but also useful: the padded front and reinforced base give the rucksack stability and ensure that it retains its shape even when partially filled.

A little gimmick against the typical German custom of carrying your water bottle (and small umbrella) on the outside of your rucksack: with the deuter UP Stockholm, the water bottle compartment is simply on the inside! Where the umbrella then goes remains questionable.

Wearing comfort and ergonomics

The Deuter UP Stockholm LTD backpack is equipped with the tried-and-tested Contact back system, which is designed to ensure optimum load distribution and comfort. The ergonomically shaped shoulder straps adapt to the shape of the body and prevent them from cutting in or pinching, even when the rucksack is worn for long periods of time. For additional stability during more active movements, the UP Stockholm LTD has a detachable waist belt that can be used as required.

The ergonomic design takes into account the requirements of urban commuting, whether by bike, on foot or on public transport, and offers the necessary comfort and stability in every situation.
