The only thing missing is comfort when getting on: This SUV bike does not have a step-through seat, so you have to swing your leg over the saddle. Although you sit on the Giant Stormguard E+ 3 so high that the tips of your toes barely touch the ground when you stop, but by lowering the seatpost from the handlebar lever, you are immediately on the ground - very comfortable once you get used to it. The Sync-Drive Pro2 motor is very powerful and doesn't feel inferior to its German counterpart from Bosch. The small display integrated into the stem provides a lot of information and is still easy to read in the sun. When the motor works together with the 10-speed Shimano Cues drivetrain, it sometimes clicks, as is not usual with the mid-motor and derailleur combination.
If you can overlook this, you will experience a powerful drive - customisable via app - and a chassis that can handle the forward thrust. This also applies to the large four-piston brakes. The safe handling is strongly geared towards "track use", the high leg lacks a little manoeuvrability for the city. Around 120 centimetres of wheelbase contribute to this.
Otherwise, the finely constructed and sophisticated aluminium frame has everything you could wish for: Powerful lighting, a system plate on the carrier, bottle cage eyelets, enormous battery capacity and, last but not least, high quality workmanship from the world's largest frame manufacturer. 5999 euros is a very realistic price for this high-tech E-Fully. Conclusion: If you can do without city wellness and are not a weight fetishist, you can go anywhere with the comfortable Giant. The panniers are also in good hands off-road.
