The Orbea Alma also presents itself as a lightweight race hardtail in its 2025 guise. With a frame weight of just 1080 grams and a special kink, the new Orbea model aims to set new standards in the cross-country sector.

With the Alma 2025, Orbea has brought an update to the race hardtail that has been on the market for some time. The Spanish manufacturer has equipped the frame with the so-called X-Fader technology, which is designed to absorb vibrations and reduce fatigue.

The pre-shaped seat tube with the striking kink just above the bottom bracket has been developed to absorb shocks. This technology should enable riders to ride more powerfully and for longer without losing comfort and control.

With a weight of 1080 grams for a painted frame in size M as stated by the manufacturer, the Alma 2025 is one of the lightest in its class. Earlier models had already achieved similar and even lower values for the carbon models.

Orbea Alma: Geometry & Handling

The new Orbea Alma with its "No Compromise Geometry" aims to offer the most direct connection possible to the trail. With a head tube angle of 67 degrees and a seat tube angle of 75.5 degrees, the Orbea hardtail should offer an ideal mix of responsive handling and confident downhill behaviour.

The geometry has been designed to improve pedalling performance, especially on steep climbs. The stiffness-optimised rear frame triangle with thinner chain and seat stays is designed to increase vertical compliance while avoiding lateral twisting and thus improving power transmission. A 110 mm suspension fork completes the setup for race and cross-country use.

Dropper-Post & Integration

The integration of practical features characterises the new Orbea Alma. An integrated carbon cockpit and the OC MP10 dropper post are one side - the Squidlock remote makes it possible to switch between different suspension fork settings and control the dropper post without taking your hands off the handlebars.

The handlebars are available in 760 mm width, with a -17° stem angle and 75 or 90 mm stem length. The integrated computer mount is already integrated. The Alma also offers greater tyre clearance of up to 2.4 inches, which provides more grip and riding comfort. There is also a maintenance flap on the down tube to access the internal cables.

The Orbea Alma is available in 4 frame sizes and 5 models, from the M-LTD to the M50, with numerous equipment options available immediately. Orbea is not providing any information on total weights and prices at this time.
