Unfortunately, the motor control knobs on the handlebars don't give much feedback and Giant doesn't have a walk assist. The bike has two shiftable chainrings and a wide gear range. When riding, the extremely long head tube and the very flared handlebars have a negative effect. There is a lack of pressure on the front wheel, which means that the bike rears up early on the climbs. Downhill, it becomes more difficult to hold the line - there is a lack of traction, which is also due to the narrow tyres.
ConclusionIf you prefer an upright riding position, the Dirt E from Giant is a good choice. The Yamaha drive unit does a good job, but has some minor weaknesses in the details.
