Inexpensive hardtails offer the perfect introduction to mountain biking. They don't cost much, the technology is simple and, above all, they're fun! Orbea's latest creation is called Onna and is aimed specifically at beginners. The robust aluminium frame with simple but solid equipment is designed to simplify the entry into off-road cycling. We have already been able to test the Orbea newcomer. More details can be found in BIKE 5/2022.
In the top-of-the-range configuration, power is transmitted via Shimano's Deore 1x11 drivetrain. The small studs of the Kenda tyres mean that the Onna rolls quickly, even if the total weight of 13.8 kilograms does slow down sporty acceleration somewhat. Depending on the spec, the new Orbea Onna costs between 629 and 1099 Euro. More information about the bike can be found at www.orbea.com
The new Orbea bike was too fresh for the 2022 hardtail comparison test in BIKE 04/2022 - The Onna 10 for 1099 would have fitted in very well. However, we'll do the individual review in the next issue - then you can compare the Orbea Onna with the competition in the price range between 1100 and 1700 euros.
