With the Stereo Hybrid One44 Super TM, Cube aims to have created an e-MTB that’s particularly strong on descents for ambitious trail enthusiasts. We’ve put the new e-bike with Avinox M2S through its paces and reveal what makes it stand out.

Topics in this article

It is the most advanced model in Cube’s popular Stereo Hybrid One44 range: the new Super TM with Avinox M2S. Full motor power and robust specifications are designed to optimise this bike for off-road and trail riding. Cube has gone all out on the components, yet the price remains comparatively fair at 6,999 euros. But let’s start at the front.

Assessment by the BIKE editorial team

Cube focuses on versatility and straightforward handling with its Avinox bikes. With a swappable battery and moderate suspension travel, it is designed neither for extreme bike park action nor for lightweight construction. Instead, it appeals to the widest possible audience. The spec is excellent for the price, as is typical of the brand. However, the bike faces stiff competition, some of which is even more aggressively priced in the current market climate. We’re looking forward to the first in-depth test of the new Cube models. – Florentin Vesenbeckh, Test Editor

For the 2027 model year, Cube has fitted two trim levels of its All Mountain e-bike with the powerful Avinox M2S. The Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC Super TM 800 is the higher-spec of these two ONE44 versions. Both combine the Avinox M2S with a carbon main frame, 150 millimetres of front suspension travel and 140 millimetres at the rear. A An overview of Cube’s new Avinox models We have already published this. This article focuses specifically on the Super TM, which Cube has optimised for ambitious trail riders.

Avinox M2S, 800 Wh replaceable battery

With the Avinox M2S Cube fits the most powerful e-MTB motor currently available on the market. Cube specifies 130 Nm for the M2S, rising to 150 Nm in Boost mode. It also features a removable 800 Wh battery, which allows for charging away from the bike. Control is handled by two BC100 remotes and the DP100 Curved display integrated into the top tube. A real bonus: the 12A fast charger is included as standard. This is by no means the case with all Avinox e-MTBs.

Features at a glance

  • Suspension fork: RockShox ZEB Ultimate Charger 3.2 RC2 Air, 150 mm travel.
  • Damper: RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate
  • Circuit: SRAM X0 Eagle AXS drivetrain
  • Brakes: SRAM Maven Ultimate with 200 mm discs at the front and rear.
  • Wheels: Newmen Beskar 30 TRQ
  • Tyres: Schwalbe Magic Mary Trail Pro at the front and Albert Gravity Pro at the rear, both 2.5 inches wide and featuring the Addix Soft rubber compound
  • Additional features: Retractable Cube seatpost, Race Face ERA 35 handlebars and provision for a compatible ACID front light. 12A charger included

Chassis and components: a comparison with the competition

When it comes to the suspension, the Super TM really goes all out, featuring Ultimate components from RockShox at both the front and rear. This is particularly notable in this travel class: instead of a Lyrik or Fox 36, a hefty ZEB takes the lead. This means the Super TM stands out slightly from the Stereo Hybrid One44 range in terms of downhill performance and trail handling.

The gears and brakes are also from SRAM. The X0 Eagle AXS drivetrain offers twelve gears and is wirelessly controlled; SRAM Maven Ultimate brakes with 200-millimetre rotors on both wheels handle the braking. That’s all you need on the trail!

Features compared with the competition

It’s interesting to compare this with other Avinox bikes on the market. Very few competitors offer such a high-quality, top-of-the-range suspension system at this price. Often, you have to dig deeper into your pockets by 1,000 to 2,000 euros. Nevertheless, even Cube is feeling the pressure on prices. Bikes such as the new Canyon Spectral:On CF9 (Fox Factory suspension, carbon wheels) – even a few more features for the same price. And also a New Conway Ryvon 8.0 With its factory-fitted suspension costing 6,000 euros, it needn’t shy away from a comparison with this Cube. The main difference is that both of the competitors mentioned come with a permanently fitted battery. On the one hand, this makes them less flexible, but on the other, they are also significantly lighter than the Stereo Hybrid One44 Super TM.
