Until recently, Megamo was little known in Central European cycling circles. Not so in Spain, the home country of the up-and-coming bike manufacturer. The cycling tradition of the Catalans dates back to the 1980s, when the Megamo Liberty Team dominated MTB racing in Spain. Although the roots of the bike brand from Girona lie in the mountain bike sector, the company now covers almost all areas of cycling - with or without a motor: mountain bikes, racing bikes, gravel bikes, trekking bikes and children's bikes. All products are developed at the company headquarters in Girona and most are also manufactured in the region.
Nowadays, the northern Spanish company Megamo makes a name for itself above all with its favourable prices. In 2023 and 2024, the focus was on the e-MTB portfolio: The full-power Megamo Crave bike with Shimano motor was followed by the lightweight Native, a trail bike with TQ drive, and the E-Enduro Flame at the end of 2024. The northern Spanish company is now expanding its pedelec programme with the Lande e-gravel bike. Core features of the Lande: Bosch SX motor, permanently integrated 400 Wh battery, aluminium frame with carbon fork. Special feature: The Lande is available with one and the same frame base as a sporty gravel bike with drop bar, with flat bar and as flat bar equipped with everyday equipment.
One fits all is the motto of the Catalans: whether for sporty gravel use, cycle touring or everyday use - thanks to its universal geometry and frame construction, Megamo wants to have found the perfect balance between comfort, durability and practicality with the Lande. This means that the Lande should work equally well in sporty use as well as in everyday life and on long tours.
The Bosch Performance Line SX motor is now a familiar sight on sporty, lightweight e-mountainbikes. However, it is one of the more powerful light motors and is no minimalist when it comes to installation space and weight. This shows that Megamo's one-fits-all concept emphasises performance rather than minimalist design for a sporty target group. Travelling cyclists with luggage will be particularly pleased with the 600 watts of peak power and the powerful torque of 55 Nm. However, this also means that the 400 watt, permanently integrated Bosch CompactTube battery only offers a limited range at full motor power. For long tours, it therefore makes sense to attach the 250 Wh PowerMore range extender to the down tube. Megamo even offers the option of increasing the total capacity of the Lande with two range extenders. With a total of 900 watt hours, impressive ranges should then be possible.
The motor is controlled via Bosch's Kiox 300 display and the Miniremote. Thanks to the eBike Flow app, the drive can be customised to the individual riding style and the Lande display can be configured to show only the information that is really important to you: from the speed and distance travelled to the battery status and other important data.
Depending on the type of adventure you are planning, the Lande can be equipped with different accessories. Add two water bottle cages for long rides, one or two pannier racks for bike touring or even two 250 Wh PowerMore range extenders to the 400 Wh battery to maximise the Lande's range for more demanding routes. Whether you are looking for more performance, comfort or additional capacity, the Lande offers a wide range of configuration options.
The only difference between the Lande Flat-Bar and the Lande Flat-Bar Equipped in terms of equipment is that the Equipped model comes with everyday features such as a pannier rack, lights and mudguards. The drivetrain and brakes come from Shimano: Shifting is done with the 10-speed Cues, braking with the MT 200 discs. The Spanish company relies on the wider-range Sram Epex Eagle 12-speed drivetrain for the drop-bar landing gear and the Sram Apex discs for the brakes.
