Scor is the offspring of the traditional Swiss forge BMC and is fully focussed on fun on the trail. Scor leaves the lightweight construction and the chasing of seconds to its parent company BMC. Not only adults should feel comfortable on the Scor bikes. For the next generation, the Swiss company now has two new children's bike models in its programme that are specially adapted to the needs of small hands, legs and body size. While the 0020 children's bike 20 inch small wheels, the 0024 stands on 24 inches. Hydraulic disc brakes with lever widths adapted to children's hands make it easier for kids to show their parents who's in control of the trail.
Weight and durability play a key role in children's bikes. Tapered aluminium tubes are intended to save weight and at the same time ensure the rigidity needed to survive on the trail. According to the manufacturer, the 20-inch bike should weigh 9.2 kilos, the 24-inch version one kilo more. Other features include 2.4 inch wide tyres, short stems and 650 millimetre wide handlebars. The 1x8 drivetrain makes shifting easy. The Scor 0020 is aimed at children between 5 and 8 years (110 to 135 centimetres tall). For children between 6 and 11 years (120 to 145 centimetres tall) there is the larger 0024 children's bike. Cost point for the 20-inch model: 899 Euro. For the 24-inch wheel 949 Euro due.
