Bicycle XXL and the Used e-bike specialist Upway are launching a nationwide trade-in programme for e-bikes. From now on, customers can trade in their used e-bike directly on site in all 18 Fahrrad XXL shops. The value determined can be offset against the purchase of a new e-bike. The trade-in used vehicles are then reconditioned by Upway and resold via their online platform.

Procedure of the trade-in process

According to the company, the trade-in process is designed to be customer-friendly. Interested parties bring their used e-bike to a Fahrrad XXL shop, where it is checked and valued using a special Upway calculator. The offer price determined in this way can be offset directly against the purchase of a new e-bike. An online calculator is available on the Fahrrad XXL website for an initial non-binding valuation. Here, customers can enter the basic data of their e-bike and receive a daily estimate.

Reconditioning & resale of used vehicles

After the trade-in, Upway takes over the further processing of the used e-bikes. The vehicles are thoroughly inspected, repaired and technically refurbished in workshops in Berlin, Düsseldorf and other locations.
