For all Woom fans among the young cyclists, there's finally the new POP bicycle basket. Why finally? Quite simply: "The most requested bicycle accessory from our customers in recent years was a bicycle basket," says Daniel Kloboucnik, Senior Product Designer at Woom, explaining the introduction of the children's bicycle basket.
A bike basket for children - and what they need to have with them on tour
However, nothing about the Woom basket is reminiscent of a stodgy and wobbly wire frame. Children can even attach the brightly coloured - or grey - plastic container to all Woom Original Bikes 2 and 3 with BMX handlebars themselves - and, according to the manufacturer, securely and safely.
On the way, the bike basket swallows provisions, but also cuddly toys or small treasures from the road - sticks, stones, chestnuts or leaves - which the little ones tend to take with them on their adventure tours. The cuddly basket for Children's bikes is made of a flexible but BPA-free EVA plastic, has rounded contours and is designed to sit wobble-free on the handlebars. So neither children nor parents need to worry about safety.
Easy handling & secure fit - the child-friendly Woom Pop bike basket
Woom worked on the Pop bike basket for over two years until it is now the 100% child-friendly bike basket from the point of view of the Austrian children's bike manufacturer. Woom is particularly proud, for example, of the innovative 45-degree positioning of the basket on the BMX handlebars, which allows the brake cables to be routed past the front of the basket without getting tangled.
It was also important to the developers that the basket is literally child's play to put on and take off again. Kids simply attach the Pop to the handlebars and off they go for a wild ride. Because the Pop bike basket fits precisely and centrally on the BMX handlebars of the Woom Original Bikes 2, 3 and 3 Automatic, nothing slips or wobbles and the weight is evenly distributed along the handlebars.
The Pop bike basket fits seamlessly into the Woom accessories programme. The four basket colours naturally match the colours of the corresponding Woom bikes. The four holes on the Pop can also be decorated with so-called Pop Ons for individual visual tuning - these are small, fun little pins that are also available. Woom's Cyclope bicycle light can also be attached to the handle of the basket, and the company's own Glug stainless steel drinking bottle fits in perfectly.
