The Canadians have packed everything that is popular with e-mountain bikers into the new Norco Sight VLT CX. A Bosch Performance Line CX motor should provide powerful and harmonious propulsion, a large battery maximises the range and a high pivot point with chain deflection delivers an extra portion of suspension performance. On top of this, the new 2025 edition of the Norco Sight VLT CX has also been slimmed down. A fifth less weight predicts improved handling of the E-All-Mountain.
The name of the Norco Sight VLT CX already indicates that it is an e-bike with the latest generation of the Bosch Performance Line CX motor is about. The unit promises 600 watts of peak power, 85 Newton metres of torque and up to 340 percent support power with a low noise level.
The down tube of Norco's latest E-MTB contains a Bosch PT800 battery with - nomen est omen - 800 watt hours of capacity. An optional 250 watt hours can be added via a range extender. Whether in the German low mountain ranges or the Canadian Rockies, you should be able to enjoy long tours without worrying about the range.
Compared to the predecessor the new Sight VLT should weigh less despite having the same motor power. With the update to the latest Bosch generation, Norco also promises better weight distribution plus longer hardware durability.
Visually, the new Norco Sight VLT CX differs significantly from the discontinued model and is more reminiscent of the classic Sight Gen 5. A vertical shock absorber and a rear triangle with a high pivot point are new to the Norco e-bike. The chain is deflected by a pulley integrated into the seat stays.
This so-called high-pivot system is designed to get the maximum performance out of the 150-millimetre rear triangle. Norco equips the All Mountain with a 160 millimetre fork and potent parts to take the fear out of even the most demanding descents. The Norco Ride-Aligned Setup Guide promises to help you set up the bike in the best possible way.
A 64 degree head angle and long reach values should ensure the Norco Sight VLT CX runs smoothly. The extra-short seat tubes also fit long-travel dropper posts. In order to guarantee the same riding characteristics for all riders, the Sight VLT CX comes with chain stay lengths depending on the frame size. The new E-MTB with Bosch CX motor is available in four sizes and three equipment variants for prices between 6699 and 9999 US dollars. Euro prices are not yet known to us.
