Norco Bikes is celebrating its 60th anniversary. The family-run company from British Columbia can look back on six decades of innovation in cycling. Congratulations!

Norco Bikes was founded in British Columbia by Bert Lewis, who set himself the goal of improving the bike market with his bikes. And his plan worked.

In the 1970s and 1980s, Norco introduced the first BMX bikes in Canada, including legendary models such as the Spitfire, Force 3 and Starfire.

This era was also characterised by the introduction of the first mountain bikes produced in Canada, which established Norco as a pioneer in the industry.

The 1990s and 2000s brought further innovations, including the VPS series and the "Kranked" VHS series, which showcased the talents of Ryan Leech and the Norco trials and factory freeride teams.

Norco Bikes was founded in British Columbia by Bert Lewis, who set himself the goal of improving the bike market with his bicycles. And his plan worked. Today, Norco is still a family-run company. The Lewis family recently took over full ownership of the parent company of Norco Bicycles. On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, Norco honours its past achievements in a video (see below) and looks to the future with optimism.
