Liv/giant 27.5: Giants off-road line for women
From 2014, Giant is offering a complete bike line especially for women. All Liv/giant models have been developed specifically for the anatomy and riding style of women and are only available in 27.5 inches.

Liv/giant 27.5 is the name under which all Giant bikes that are specially designed to meet the needs of women will be marketed in future. Not only the female anatomy, but also the special riding style of women should be taken into account. It is therefore only logical that the majority of the development work was carried out by a female team. They see 27.5 inches as the ideal size for women. It should combine all the advantages of 26 inches, such as lower weight, better acceleration and the positive attributes of 29ers, such as good rollover behaviour. In addition, 27.5 inches should make it possible to design frames that are also suitable for smaller women. Liv/giant is starting the 2014 season with four new models.

Obsess Advanced

The Obsess hardtail is only available as a carbon version with 100 millimetres of suspension travel and is designed to make fast girls happy in particular. The special 3F Geometry (Fit, Form, Function) has a slightly shorter top tube and a slightly higher head tube. The seat clamp is a particularly attractive solution. It is located underneath the top tube. The cables are routed internally and the rear dropouts can be extended from 135 to 142 millimetres using an adapter.

The Lust also has 100 millimetres of suspension travel and will be available in both aluminium and carbon. For better control on technical trails, the top models are also equipped with a lowerable seat post.

Intrigue

For women who prefer a slightly harder ride, Liv/giant has the Intrigue in its programme. 140 millimetres of suspension travel combined with 27.5-inch wheels should provide sufficient reserves on technical trails. The Intrigue will only be available as an aluminium model. It has the same features as the other models: the special 3F geometry, a lowerable seat post and interchangeable dropouts.

Tempt

The Tempt aluminium hardtail is aimed particularly at beginners. The low top tube is designed to ensure a good standover height. This should make it easy to get off the bike in difficult passages. For fun on the trail, Liv/giant installs a high-quality suspension fork and powerful disc brakes even for beginners.
