The German mail order company Last also swears by a platform system and creates Light Enduro Tarvo an all-mountain bike with 145 millimetres of travel at the rear. This means that the new Cinto, named after the highest mountain in Corsica, has around 20 millimetres less travel and is ideally combined with a 150 mm fork. Apart from the linkage, the frame is exactly the same. Even the shock length and stroke are identical. Optionally, the Cinto can also be ridden with a 27.5-inch rear wheel. As Last is convinced of its lightweight construction skills, the 2100 gram carbon frame is bike park approved for riders weighing up to 120 kilos.
As with the Tarvo, there will be four frame sizes for riders between 165 and 195 centimetres tall. The chainstay length grows with the rider's height. With a steering angle of 65 degrees and a seat angle of 77 degrees, the Cinto takes a modern approach. The German-made frame costs 3999 euros without shock. The cheapest complete bike from the Last Cinto is 6129 euros.
If you don't want to compromise on the equipment, you can even trim the new Cinto down to a total weight of 11.0 kilos. The frameset is available to order now and will be delivered from July/August 2021. By the way: only 100 units of the exclusive carbon all-mountain bike are planned per year.
