With the new Riot series Ghost will be launching its successful AMR fullys for the 2021 model year. The Ghost Riot will be available in three different versions - from the 170-millimetre enduro bike to the trail bike with 130 mm suspension travel. The Upper Palatinate-based company wants to appeal to a broad target group of mountain bikers.
The aggressive pricing policy is striking: all seven Riot models cost between 2499 and 3499 euros. All Riot bikes roll down the trails with an aluminium frame and a uniform design and are subject to Ghost's so-called Superfit geometry approach. The wheels in frame size S shrink to the smaller 27.5-inch size, while the other sizes roll on 29-inch wheels. As with the Original Riot from 2014 the developers also paid particular attention to the rear suspension kinematics in the latest evolutionary stage: Ghost is launching an entire model series with a VPP rear suspension system for the first time. Our First riding impression for BIKE 2/2021 was positive. However, we are curious to see how the extreme geometry with a 77-degree seat angle and very long reach values will perform in a detailed test.
