With the Current, the Californian brand Aventon is launching its first full-suspension e-mountainbike platform. The suspension has 140 mm of travel at the rear and 150 mm at the front - a classic E-AllMountain. The brand wants to offer a lot of bike for the money with an aggressive pricing policy and, above all, stand out with its software.
The centrepiece of the bike is the new Ultro X mid-motor: 110 Nm torque, 750 watts peak power - and in boost mode it even sprints to 120 Nm at 850 watts. Small, light (2.85 kg) and waterproof to IP67. If you want, you can fine-tune the bike via five support levels: Auto, Eco, Trail, Turbo and Boost - all conveniently via the Aventon app thanks to Ride Tune. The 800 Wh battery offers a range of up to 168 kilometres and the battery can be removed from the bottom. For everyday use, Aventon offers the Current REC with the somewhat tamer Ultro S+ motor (100 Nm) and a classic everyday set-up: Mudguards, pannier rack, lights - basically an E-MTB that's also suitable for the supermarket.
The bike's dashboard is called the Aventon Control Unit (ACU) and is more than just a simple display: touchscreen, 4G and Bluetooth, OTA updates - all included. There are clever trail functions for adrenaline junkies:
