The new lifetime warranty from the Belgian Cycling Factory (BCF) replaces the previous system with a two to five-year warranty period. In addition to the mountain bike frames from Nukeproof frame sets from Ridley and Eddy Merckx (racing bikes and gravel bikes) and Aeres (trekking) are also covered.
The warranty applies to all bikes purchased since 1 January 2026 and registered with the relevant manufacturer within a 30-day period. Downhill models from Nukeproof are an exception. Here, the two-year warranty remains unchanged, according to BCF.
The umbrella brand based in Beringen/Belgium wants to expand its "commitment to long-lasting products" with this step. "We are investing in long-term trust instead of short-term commercial incentives," BCF Managing Director Jochim Aerts is quoted as saying in the press release. Other manufacturers such as Cannondale, Giant, Specialized and Trek also offer their customers a lifetime guarantee.
The term "lifetime" refers to the technical service life of the frame when used properly and serviced annually by a licensed dealer. Accordingly, BCF gives a maximum guarantee of ten years from the date of purchase.
