Trickstuff relocates company headquarters: production in Poland, development in Switzerland
Trickstuff GmbH will relocate its headquarters from Pfaffenweiler to Oelde on 1 July 2025. The previous location in the Black Forest will be closed. Development and product management will be taken over by the parent company DT Swiss in Biel, while assembly will be relocated to Poland. Trickstuff will remain an independent brand for high-quality brakes and components.

Still on the Bike Festival in Riva There was no mention of this in the conversation with the people from Trickstuff, but now the big news has come: the Board of Directors of DT Swiss Group AG and the management of Trickstuff GmbH have made the decision to relocate for economic and strategic reasons.

In a press release, the dynamic market development of the past three years and current challenges in the MTB segment are cited as the reasons for the decision. The restructuring is intended to ensure the long-term competitiveness and independence of the Trickstuff brand.

Anyone wondering what DT Swiss has to do here: The Swiss had already bought Trickstuff in 2021. And in 2023, Klaus Liedler, who had been the man behind Trickstuff for more than a decade, left the company and handed it over to his management team.

Trickstuff: Division of the business units into different locations

With the closure of the Pfaffenweiler site on 30 June 2025, Trickstuff's divisions will be split across various locations. The new company headquarters in Oelde, North Rhine-Westphalia, will be responsible for sales, market development and customer service.

Engineering, product management and marketing will in future be handled by DT Swiss AG at its headquarters in Biel, Switzerland. DT Swiss Polska in Oborniki, Poland, will be responsible for the assembly of Trickstuff products.

Jobs in Pfaffenweiler affected

The closure of the Pfaffenweiler site will result in compulsory redundancies. Frank Böckmann, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of DT Swiss Group AG, emphasises that the decision was not an easy one: "The Trickstuff employees have worked very hard in recent years to further develop the brand and the company."

The company is aware that the enthusiasm of the team and the location in the Black Forest form a large part of the brand's identity. For this reason, the company wants to carefully support the employees concerned and is holding individual one-to-one discussions about their professional future in order to ensure personalised advice and support.
