Wyn Masters was the face of GT for years - now the New Zealand mountain biker is starting a new chapter. He is now riding for the German bike label Focus Bikes. Time for a look back - and forwards.

After more than a decade with GT, Wyn Masters is starting a new chapter in his career: the New Zealand mountain biker is now part of the Focus Bikes team. Known for his infectious energy - both on and off the bike - Wyn is heavily involved in the MTB community and supports young talent with his Privateer Project. Now he rides with Focus, together with his long-time friends Ben Deakin and Olly Wilkins. The trio is ready for new adventures, exciting content and unforgettable trail moments.

5 facts you should know about Wyn Masters

Early entry & national title holder

Wyn started racing at the age of just 11 - and quickly made a name for himself: he won both the U17 and U19 championship titles in New Zealand. In 2017, he then celebrated a special moment: victory at the EWS stop in Rotorua - in front of a home crowd.

Pure World Cup experience

Wyn was a permanent fixture in the UCI World Cup for over ten years. He regularly finished in the top ten in both enduro and downhill and was recognised for his consistent, stylish riding style. He also secured the New Zealand downhill championship title during this time.

Founder of WynTV & the Privateer Project

With WynTV, he launched his own interview and recap series - and became the unmistakable voice of the scene. At the same time, he launched the Privateer Project to help privately financed riders enter the World Cup.
