At the end of April, the Italian manufacturer of cycling clothing, Castelli, opened its second flagship store worldwide in Berlin-Mitte. After Girona, this is Castelli's first store in Germany. The store will not only sell the latest collections, but will also serve as a meeting point for the cycling community.

The new Castelli store in Berlin-Mitte is intended to be more than just a sales outlet for the current collections; the plan is to establish the shop as a meeting place for passionate cyclists. It is aimed at both long-standing Castelli fans and newcomers to cycling. According to Castelli, Store Manager Darren Reid embodies the love and passion for cycling that has characterised the brand in recent decades. Reid has extensive experience in the sports and cycling industry, both in Germany and internationally.

Cycling celebrities and events

In addition to selling the latest Castelli collections, the Italians are planning to organise various community events around the store. The focus will be on active and former cycling celebrities and stories from the world of cycling and triathlon. Castelli wants to turn the store into a lively meeting place for the local and national cycling scene.

Castelli's company history

Castelli can look back on a long tradition of producing high-quality cycling clothing. The company was founded in Milan in 1876 by Vittore Gianni and initially specialised in the production of clothing for ballet and opera. In the 1910s, Gianni began producing jerseys for AC Milan and later for Juventus Turin. Armando Castelli took over the company in 1935 and increasingly focussed on cycling clothing. Today, Castelli is one of the leading manufacturers of technical cycling clothing and equips the Soudal Quick-Step World Tour team led by Remco Evenepoel, among others. The company is known for its innovations such as the first lycra cycling jersey, aerodynamic racing suits and highly functional weather protection clothing. With the opening of the flagship store in Berlin, Castelli is emphasising its commitment to equipping not only professionals but also ambitious amateurs with high-quality cycling clothing.
