In many countries, it is customary to play jokes on the first of April. There are different views on where this custom began. In this article, we take a look at the latest April Fool's pranks from the bike industry. We almost believed it ourselves with the fourth prank.

The Rose Race sticker set

Recently presented Rose the Backroad FF, a real racing gravel bike. But then came the shock: the design team slipped through the typical large letter decals that are normally attached to the down tube. They have now rectified this faux pas and offer retrofit decals. And it gets even better: customised design is all the rage. In addition to the brand logo, there are now also additional stickers that can be attached to the frame as desired. April, April!

Finally: charging the body battery with the Garmin Super Charger

Garmin's fitness watches not only track the user's activities, but also indicate how energised the body is - this is known as body battery. If this battery indicator is low or slow to recover during rest periods, it could indicate that the body needs a break. However, cycling enthusiasts often find it difficult to take a break. However, Garmin has now developed a solution to this dilemma. The Garmin Super Charger was unveiled on 1 April. It simply recharges your body battery. The design is similar to the old charging clips from Garmin watches and it is simply placed on a finger, similar to a device for measuring oxygen saturation in the blood. The cushion is even included... Scheeerz!

Arse rocket XXL

Normally, ass rockets, or more correctly bikepacking saddlebags, offer space for 11 to 16 litres. This is not always enough. If you want to stow more, you quickly reach your limits. That's why Ortlieb, the bag expert, has developed the Arschrakete XXL. It allows you to take everything you need with you on a bikepacking-style glamping trip - there's enough space for everything from a duvet to a cuddly toy to a pillow. The only limitation is that the bag is not suitable for small bikes, otherwise it could drag on the rear wheel. LOL.

Mont Ventoux becomes a premium gravel tour

Have you ever dreamed of climbing Mont Ventoux on your gravel bike? The Band of Climbers brand has found a solution for just that. They have renewed the surface of all three climbs of the famous mountain as of 1 April. They followed the gravel trend and used high-quality premium gravel instead of new tarmac. A dream... but not realised.
