The bike podcast "Antritt" is celebrating its anniversary! For 10 years, it has been delighting its listeners with exciting stories, useful tips and, of course, interviews about cycling. A real classic for all cycling enthusiasts!

The first episode of the "Antritt" podcast was published on detektor.fm on 6 March 2015. Who would have thought back then that it would become one of the most popular cycling podcasts in Germany? With tens of thousands of listeners per month and over 40,000 followers, "Antritt" is a permanent fixture in the cycling community.

The two journalists Christian Bollert and Gerolf Meyer have hosted the podcast from the very beginning. Their topics? As diverse as the bicycle itself: Sport and technology, politics and planning, history and everyday rides, industry and frame construction. In the "Rides of the Month", listeners talk about special experiences - whether it's a ride through thick fog or a tour on a four-person tandem. They also answer technical questions and interview people from the world of cycling.

TOUR editor Jens Klötzer a permanent fixture on the Antritt podcast

TOUR test and technology editor Jens Klötzer has been an integral part of the podcast for ten years. He answers questions about the latest developments in bicycle technology - and has witnessed how the industry has changed. The first "Klingeln bei Klötzer" shows just how much has changed: Ten years ago, disc brakes on racing bikes were only just starting to appear; today they are standard in the professional sector. Just a few weeks ago Bianchi presents its revised Aquila RC time trial bike - and thus make the last rim brake racing bike of the pros history.

"Antritt" is therefore not only celebrating an anniversary, but also a decade full of cycling history, innovations and unforgettable stories. And the best thing is: it goes on!

In the beginning, "Antritt" was published monthly, but later the frequency was increased to two episodes per month. Since autumn 2024, the podcast has even been published weekly. This development shows how much the community has grown. "Antritt" combines journalistic standards with the passion of its listeners.

I am very grateful that we are still so enthusiastic about it after all these years and that our community is constantly growing. detektor.fm Managing Director Christian Bollert

"Antritt" dedicates its anniversary month of March to cycling media

In March, "Antritt" is all about the cycling media and its creators. "After recently talking about topics such as the German parliamentary elections and the death of bike activist Natenom, we are now focussing on people who make bikes present in the media," says host Gerolf Meyer. This month's guests include podcaster, YouTuber and former racing cyclist Rick Zabel as well as BIKE founder and Transalp inventor Uli Stanciu.

But this is just the beginning: the next ten years of "Antritt" will start with new formats in which listeners can talk even more directly to the editorial team and present their favourite topics and bikes.

What she rides, uses and recommends has to stand the test of time: not in marketing, but in real life.
