The current-conducting areas are generally well protected against moisture. However, after rain, driving through water and washing, a maintenance session will do no harm.

Electronics

The contacts should be dried and treated with contact spray after wet conditions such as rain, riding through water and washing the bike. This prevents any loss of performance.

Contacts

With Microfibre cloth or an absorbent paper towel to dry the connection contacts for the battery. Make sure that no fibres remain on the contacts. Then apply a short spray of special Contact sprayThis ensures current flow, displaces residual moisture and prevents verdigris.

Cable & battery

Check all control cable connections for tightness/screwing, especially after tours in rough terrain. Only check the outside of the battery for damage and clean it with a damp cloth. Never unscrew lithium batteries or loosen the panelling! Always contact a specialist dealer in the event of damage.

MEMORY MAGNET

A small part with a big (braking) effect. Is the Spoke magnet is twisted or the distance to the sensor is too great, the emergency running mode of the engine is activated. Therefore, briefly check the seat and position before every journey. Recommended distance: 5-17 mm. The cautious take a spare magnet with them.
