Accessories specialist Infini is launching the new Glaux-Aagle lighting system, a wirelessly synchronised combination of front and rear lights that can be conveniently controlled from the handlebars.

Conclusion on Infini’s smart lighting

What makes the smart Infini lighting system so special is its true connectivity: rather than having to operate the front and rear lights separately, a single handlebar remote control operates both lights in sync. This not only enhances convenience but also ensures quick, distraction-free switching between modes, particularly when out on the road.

Bicycle lighting has developed rapidly in recent years. Whilst simple, dynamo-powered incandescent bulbs used to set the standard, high-performance battery-powered and LED systems now dominate the market. Nevertheless, one problem persisted in everyday use: anyone wishing to adjust their lights to changing visibility conditions often had to fiddle with the lights themselves – a safety risk, particularly when cycling on uneven terrain or in heavy city traffic.

With its new Glaux Pro lighting concept, manufacturer Infini aims to bridge this gap and is presenting a connected ecosystem for bicycles. The set comprises the Glaux front light and the Aegle Pro rear light. The key feature is the wireless connection: using a compact remote control mounted directly on the handlebar grip, both lights can be controlled simultaneously and their modes synchronised at the touch of a single button.

As well as offering greater convenience, the system also boasts technological refinements such as an automatic brightness control for the front light, which reacts to ambient light, and energy-saving safety features for the rear light. Priced at just under 84 euros for the complete set, the system is positioned in the competitive mid-range market and is aimed equally at commuters, road cyclists and gravel enthusiasts who value integrated controls.

Front light: Infini I.292P Glaux

The Glaux front headlamp (model I-292P) serves as the powerful centrepiece of the system. With a maximum light output of 1,200 lumens in daytime flash mode, it ensures you’re impossible to miss in daylight, whilst also providing sufficient power in classic steady-beam mode for night-time riding. An integrated sensor enables the light to automatically adjust its brightness to the ambient light – which helps conserve the battery. The headlamp is weatherproof to IPX6 standard and is charged quickly via USB-C. Various operating modes, ranging from the long-lasting Eco-Flash to the powerful high beam, make it highly versatile.

Rear light: Infini I-466R Aegle Pro

The Aegle Pro rear light (model I-466R) ensures safety from behind. Thanks to the combination of a high-power LED and 20 modern SMD LEDs, this compact light delivers up to 65 lumens. A specially developed light-guiding lens ensures a wide beam angle without dazzling riders behind. The safety features are particularly clever: if the light detects no movement from the bicycle for five minutes, it automatically switches to standby mode. When the battery level is critically low, an energy-saving mode is also activated to prevent the light from suddenly switching off. Weighing just 33.5 grams, the Aegle Pro is barely noticeable and, thanks to its flexible mount, fits all standard seat posts.

Information about the Infini Aegle
