With the Briq-M E Highbeam, Busch + Müller is establishing itself in the growing market for high-quality e-bike lighting. The latest addition to the still-young Briq series is designed as an all-rounder for discerning e-bike riders who value performance and visibility.

Performance meets design

At the heart of the headlamp is a large-surface reflector combined with high-performance electronics, which ensures an even and wide-spread light pattern of 150 lux. A special feature: a 200 lux high beam can be activated via a Bluetooth button – ideal for fast driving outside built-up areas. The razor-sharp cut-off line complies with StVZO requirements.

The signature building-block design of the Briq series inspired the developers to create an innovative detail: a ring of light running all the way round. What in conventional headlights is merely the outer edge of the light output has been developed here into a deliberate design feature. The light ring is designed to significantly improve the cyclist’s visibility, blending design with safety.

Smartly controlled

The system is operated via the Blucon Bluetooth button in conjunction with the Busch + Müller app. Two buttons allow a total of four functions to be programmed. Users can choose between pre-programmed standard modes and customisable settings for each individual light source – offering a high degree of personalisation.

Sophisticated technology

The black aluminium housing is not just for aesthetic purposes; it also acts as a heat sink for the high-performance LED. An integrated temperature sensor automatically regulates the output when the unit is stationary and there is no cooling airflow – a smart thermal management system.

The headlight operates on an e-bike voltage of 6–42 V DC and is fitted with daytime running lights and a reflector. It is mounted using a single-arm plastic bracket for handlebar diameters of 31.8 to 35 mm. The Blucon switch can be attached either temporarily using a cable tie or permanently with an aluminium clamp, the latter allowing for swivelling adjustment.

Availability

As a more affordable alternative to the Briq-M E Highbeam, Busch + Müller offers the Briq-M E (Type 154R12TS-01) without a high-beam function for a RRP of 99.90 euros. The Briq-M E Highbeam (type 154RBT-01) will be available from April 2026 at a recommended retail price of €199.90.
