The first conclusion
In terms of price, the Lidl light set between the extremely affordable Aldi set for ten euros and the Tchibo model, which is around ten euros more expensive. The workmanship appears solid, operation is intuitive and three light levels correspond to the good standard of this class. The four-stage battery level indicator is practical. As usual, the mounts fit best on round handlebars and seat posts. The integrated brake light on the rear light is particularly impressive and is a real highlight in this price class.

Opinion and categorisation of the editorial team
The Lidl light set leaves a surprisingly strong impression in the test. For just €14.99, you get a fully-fledged LED set with functions that are otherwise more familiar from higher price ranges. Technically, it is almost on a par with its Aldi counterpart, but is more attractive because it is permanently available in the online shop and not just as a short-lived promotional item. At the highest light level, the headlight shines for around two and a half hours - a solid value. Particularly practical: A red flashing LED signals the remaining half hour in good time so that you are not suddenly left in the dark.
The mounts are typical of the class and work reliably on round handlebars and seat posts, but less well on aero shapes. The highlight is clearly the rear light: the integrated brake light function reacted reliably in the test and significantly increased visibility, which is a safety plus, especially in city traffic or on winding country roads or descents.
All in all, Lidl offers an amazingly good overall package. If you don't need maximum light output or ultra-long battery life, you will find a lightweight, functional and very affordable set that is also ideal for racing cyclists and gravel bikers.
