Val di Fassa stretches in the north-east of Trentino, right through the centre of perhaps the most beautiful mountains in the world. The Val di Sole valley draws a natural border between the Adamello Brenta National Park and the famous Stelvio National Park.

Above your head: blue sky. Under the tyres: Rocks, earth and blades of grass. Always in view: the spectacle of the Dolomites. The famous Sella massif and the rock faces of the Sassolungo tower right at the entrance. Behind them, the valley follows the River Avisio southwards and is flanked by the white peaks of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. They rise imposingly from lush alpine pastures and meadows - a paradise for all touring bikers. Here, every metre of elevation gain is rewarded with panoramic views and an unforgettable descent. There are 20 routes of different levels to choose from, which the "Val di Fassa Bike Friendly" association has signposted for bikers: From family tours and panoramic tours to challenging enduro descents.

The range of biker-friendly accommodation has also been expanded: There are around forty hotels, guesthouses, holiday flats and campsites throughout the valley that are equipped to meet the needs of bikers. In other words, there is everything you need before and after a bike tour - bike washing facilities, workshops, lockable storage rooms and guides for guided tours. The valley is also home to Trentino's first bike park: the Fassa Bike Park in Canazei and Campitello. Since 2006, trail enthusiasts have been shuttled uphill here on the Belvedere cable car. Some people plunge down the shaped downhill lines, others just use the lift to get to panoramic heights faster and do longer laps. For example, you can easily join the Sella Ronda - one of the most famous tours in the Dolomites.

The Fassa Valley is also suitable for e-MTBs.

Bosch eBike power stations have been installed along the 20 tours. The locations of the charging stations, an overview of the tours and the bike hire stations can be found in the "Mountain bike routes" overview map.

The "Bike Express Fassa-Fiemme" service is also new: a shuttle bus service along the "Pista ciclabile delle Dolomiti di Fassa e Fiemme" cycle path tour, which runs for 48 kilometres through the valley. From May onwards, you can hop on the shuttle bus for an easy downhill ride through the villages and be driven back to the starting point. This leaves time for our three skill parks in Canazei, Soraga and Moena.

The fourth edition of the EWS will provide action on 24 and 25 June 2023. The Enduro World Series racers love the trails of the Fassa Valley amidst this spectacular backdrop!

Vigo di Fassa "borgo più bello d'Italia"

The village of Vigo di Fassa is considered the cradle of Ladin culture. Here you can visit one of the oldest Gothic pilgrimage churches - Santa Giuliana. It was named after the patron saint of the Fassa Valley. From Vigo di Fassa, a cable car takes you up to Ciampedìe, the gateway to the Valle del Vajolet and the Gruppo del Catinaccio. At sunset, the pink-coloured Dolomites can be admired particularly well from this village.

Dolomiti Paganella Bike Opening - Bike & Music Festival returns
The Bike & Music Festival will once again open the new bike season this year: The programme includes exciting trails at the foot of the magnificent Brenta Dolomites, "good vibes" and lots of live music. Make a note of the date: From 27 to 29 May 2023 manufacturers will be exhibiting their latest products in the bike area, which you can test extensively on tour. The whole event will be accompanied by music from DJs, who will ensure a good atmosphere in the exhibitor area as well as in the surrounding huts. In the evening, everyone will celebrate together at the Andalo base camp. With Italian food, the best wine from the region and, of course, lots of good music.

Val di Sole - Bike Land

World Cup downhillers get a shiver down their spine when they hear the name: Val di Sole. The bike park in Daolasa has already hosted several World Cup races and world championships. Its trails are considered demanding, selective and challenging. There are also descents for less experienced trail lovers. But Val di Sole can do even more. Much more, in fact! The valley forms a natural border between the Adamello Brenta National Park and the famous Stelvio National Park. Both are touring areas with magnificent nature and trail circuits for mountain bikers that have been celebrated in various specialised media. The flanks of the two neighbouring valleys of Peio and Rabbi also offer panoramic biking. The special thing about Val di Sole: although the valley lies between the highest peaks of the central and eastern Alps, you can experience a particularly large number of hours of sunshine here - its east-west orientation makes this possible. So it's perfect that there is no shortage of opportunities to cool off. There are more than 100 lakes in Val di Sole. Some can only be reached after a strenuous ascent at the top of the mountain, while others are idyllic and tempt you with double-digit temperatures in the valley. Incidentally, one or two adventures on the Noce also await here. The wild river is perfect for kayaking and rafting tours.

ALPINE GRAVEL - Novelty

New in the Val di Sole are the signposted Gravel bike trails. There is a wide network of forest and woodland paths along both sides of the valley for extended tours. The surface is slightly alpine, but never too rough for the narrow tyres.

There are also one or two velvety soft, but definitely winding singletrail sections.

Ossana "borgo più bello d'Italia"

Definitely worth a visit: the small village of Ossana, at the entrance to the Val di Peio with a view of the snow-covered Presanella group. People have lived here since the Bronze Age. Today, the winding alleyways of one of Italy's most beautiful villages crowd the hillside. And the tower of Castello S. Michele, dating back to 1191, stands out in the centre. As the two tributary valleys of Vermiglio and Peio meet here, the village of Ossana was once the political, administrative and religious centre of the upper Val di Sole.
