Theft protection with the Apple Airtag tracking device

The component manufacturer NC-17 has developed a special headset cap into which the Airtag can be integrated (photo at the top). There is another solution from Woocycle: Here, the airbag is integrated into a small plastic case that is screwed into the bottle cage - the bottle cage itself still has space.

The Woo holder costs 15.90 euros, the Connect AirBox from NC-17 is available for 19.95 euros. The Apple Airtag costs an additional 35 euros and the battery lasts for a year. Disadvantage: Tracking only works via Bluetooth and only as long as an iPhone is nearby. Otherwise, the location cannot be transmitted to the owner. In addition, the tracker reveals itself eight hours after the theft with a shrill beep.
