The machine is technically based on the well-known Mozzafiato series, which stands for robust workmanship, constant brewing temperatures and a high-quality espresso result. A new rapid heating system has been integrated for the special edition, which is designed to significantly reduce the heating time. The model is therefore aimed in particular at users who want to prepare an espresso before training or starting work in a rush.
Visually, the FAST edition remains true to the typical Rocket Espresso style: stainless steel housing, clear lines and an overall classic appearance, which is admittedly a real eye-catcher in any kitchen. The classic look is complemented by Zwift-specific details. These include discreetly integrated "Big Zee" logos and orange-coloured hands, which are based on the colour scheme of the digital cycling platform and aim to pick up on the theme of speed.
According to both companies, the cooperation is intended to reflect the connection between Italian engineering and the dynamics of the global indoor cycling community. With the Mozzafiato FAST, Rocket Espresso and Zwift are specifically positioning themselves at the interface between lifestyle product and sports-oriented target group.
The special edition is available now and costs 2750 euros. Due to the strict limitation of 200 units, the model could sell out quickly. However, it is questionable whether the machine's manageable special features justify a rather expensive impulse purchase.
Coffee and cycling go hand in hand. A collaboration between Rocket Espresso and Zwift therefore definitely makes sense at first glance. If you look at the details of the limited edition Mozzafiato FAST from other models in the series, disillusionment sets in. Subtle visual accents and a little time saved on coffee in combination with the 200-piece limit sound more like marketing than a new must-have. If you're thinking of buying a new Mozzafiato portafilter machine anyway and are also a big Zwift fan, this model could be just what you're looking for. ~ Lukas Niebuhr, working student at TOUR-Online
