Wahoo and Zwift have introduced joint membership packages. This means that indoor cycling newbies in particular can benefit. Why? A new Wahoo Kickr now comes with a free one-year Zwift membership. A good deal to get you started with roller training or indoor cycling.

Yesterday, Wahoo and Zwift introduced "Kickr x Zwift" membership packages. In a nutshell, this means that when you buy a Kickr, you get an annual Zwift membership for free.

After patent dispute comes partnership

With the introduction of the Zwift Hub, Wahoo saw patents infringed. A patent dispute ensued. JetBlack - the company that manufactures the Zwift Hub - was also involved. An agreement had already been reached with JetBlack. The hatchet between Wahoo and Zwift was buried at the beginning of September. This has now resulted in the new partnership.

Zwift x Wahoo

The partnership between Zwift and Wahoo has several advantages for users. Firstly, the purchase of a Kickr comes with an annual membership for Zwift. Secondly, all Zwift rides can be synchronised with the Wahoo app. This means that the complete training history is visible there, regardless of whether you are riding on Zwift, SYSTM - Wahoo's indoor platform - or outdoors with a Wahoo Elemnt GPS computer.
