With the introduction of the Zwift Hub, Wahoo saw patents infringed. A patent dispute ensued. JetBlack - the company that manufactures the Zwift Hub - was also involved. An agreement had already been reached with JetBlack. The hatchet between Wahoo and Zwift was buried at the beginning of September. This has now resulted in the new partnership.

The partnership between Zwift and Wahoo has several advantages for users. Firstly, the purchase of a Kickr comes with an annual membership for Zwift. Secondly, all Zwift rides can be synchronised with the Wahoo app. This means that the complete training history is visible there, regardless of whether you are riding on Zwift, SYSTM - Wahoo's indoor platform - or outdoors with a Wahoo Elemnt GPS computer.
The Kickr Core, a solid smart trainer that only puts a moderate strain on your bank account, is ideal for beginners. The entry-level package consisting of Kickr Core including a Zwift subscription for one year is now available from Wahoo and Zwift with a pre-installed cassette (8/9/10/11/12-speed) for €599.99 plus shipping costs.
The complete package is even cheaper with the Kickr Snap including Zwift annual membership. 399.99 euros plus shipping costs.
If you prefer to buy your Kickr through a Wahoo dealer, you can get the Kickr Core without cassette for €499.99. If you buy a Kickr product from a retailer, you can get a discounted Zwift annual membership for €99.99 when you register your Kickr product - an annual membership normally costs €149.99
