MyWhoosh has launched version 5.7 of its training platform. The update expands the functions for cyclists, runners and rowers. The Strava integration automatically synchronises outdoor activities in the MyWhoosh calendar. This gives users a complete overview of their entire training programme.
The new TrainerDay connection transfers planned workouts and completed sessions directly to MyWhoosh. TrainerDay is an app for cyclists that provides structured indoor and outdoor workouts as well as complete training plans. It offers a large, community-based workout library and simple tools for creating and customising your own sessions and plans.
The BikeControl app integration connects compatible Bluetooth controllers with the platform. Riders can use it to control shifting functions and steering movements in the game. A new Virtual Shifting Gear Step Size Slider allows the shifting step size to be adjusted. This makes control more direct and can be customised.
The new Streaks feature documents daily training activity across all sports. Users receive exclusive badges and milestone awards for continuous training. The system is designed to increase motivation and encourage regular activity. The function works across all disciplines and records units from cycling, running and rowing.
MyWhoosh significantly expands the rowing functions. Structured rowing workouts with intervals and intensity specifications complement the existing range. Live rowing events show the stroke rate in real time. The leaderboards are updated during the events. This gives rowers the same data-based training options as cyclists and runners. The competition formats offer SPM tracking and allow direct comparison with other participants.
Matt Smithson, Director of Esports & Game Operations at MyWhoosh, explains that version 5.7 improves the platform in several areas simultaneously. The firmware updates respond to user feedback. New hardware management features allow for the deletion of saved devices such as indoor trainers. Auto-connect settings can be toggled to resolve pairing issues. Stability improvements and bug fixes are part of the update. The changes affect usability and connectivity of the free training environment.
The free training platform offers five worlds, 54 routes and 1159 kilometres of virtual training tracks. According to the company, the community includes users in over 100 countries. More than 730 workouts are available. For structured training, there are 39 plans over four to eight weeks for all performance levels - from beginners to racers.
