Push-ups and tricep exercises strengthen the chest and arm muscles. Different variations of squats strengthen the thighs, buttocks and calves.


Strengthening for the arms

Push-up

Trains the chest, front shoulder and triceps. Execution: Toes on the floor. Grip the centre of the top and support yourself at the widest point with outstretched arms. Now bend your arms evenly until your stretched body is above the top. Straighten your arms again, stabilising your spine (straight body!). Beginners perform this exercise on their knees.

Workload: 1 - 3 times 10 - 30 repetitions.
