To protect themselves and their fellow human beings, more and more athletes are therefore turning to sport at home or roller training. However, every motivated biker knows the number one motivation killer: boredom during roller training. Good thing there's a challenge for everything. We present the currently popular coronavirus challenges.
To curb the spread of the coronavirus and protect themselves and others, bike manufacturer Orbea is supporting training at home. The aim is to: Stay fit, strengthen the immune system and, above all, banish boredom. The challenge task is to complete 500 kilometres on the home trainer by 31 March. No roller? No problem. Here we show you the best smart trainers on offer. Or you can replace the kilometres with time and collect 500 minutes, for example by running, strength training or relaxing yoga.
You can easily register for the Orbea Indoor Challenge via Strava in the Orbea Club. When saving the data only hashtag #Orbea500Challenge and make these units publicly visible so that the team can also see their achievements. To further increase the incentive, Orbea promises enticing prizes and awards for certain intermediate goals. Pictures of training sessions can also be uploaded via Instagram or Facebook under the aforementioned hashtag, the best of which will also be rewarded with interesting prizes.
Orbea is doing everything it can to keep the frustration rate as low as possible. Over the next few days, the Basque company will also be posting live videos on Instagram on various topics.

Here, true bike acrobats show what can be achieved on a bike within your own four walls. Eternal pedalling on the spot is a thing of the past. Wild jumps over chairs and tables, wheelies in the bedroom, skilful manoeuvring through the garden course - that's today. This challenge is not about excelling in physical feats. It's about cool moves, new tricks, pure fun.
The programme was launched #stayathomebikechallenge by Korbinian Engstler, the shooting star of the bike scene, and his friend Stefan Riedlinger. Appealing for social distancing in times of the corona crisis, the two want to show how bikes and living rooms can be combined.
Many professional and amateur bikers have already joined the #stayathomebikechallenge. Numerous crazy videos and funny pictures have been adorning social media for days.
If you would like to take part, simply upload a cool video of yourself and your bike while banishing boredom using the hashtag #stayathomebikechallenge via Facebook or Instagram.
