A Mercedes would probably come closest to the Trek Lush - and not just in terms of price. The equipment, smooth running and finely tuned suspension are also worthy of a star.

Both uphill and downhill, the Lush - also thanks to the wider Bontrager tyres (tubeless) - does not lose its track. The fork responds comfortably to even the smallest bumps and the shock absorbs them. The remote pin for the dropper post takes some getting used to: it can be turned in all directions and then slowly lowers the dropper post like a sedan chair. However, the riding position is striking. Riders who are used to size M will feel a little cramped on the 17-inch frame and a little unsafe on technical descents due to the additional narrower handlebars (670 mm). We find the foam grips too thick.

Gitta Beimfohr, BIKE editor: Beautiful, balanced all-mountain bike with sensitive suspension for female riders with a rather short upper body. However, we would fit the Lush with wider handlebars for more safety.
