Trail bike: Yeti SB115 in the BIKE check
The extra suspension travel turns the SB100 marathon bike into a real trail bike. We have tested the new Yeti SB115 extensively in the lab and in practice.

With just a few simple steps, the well-known Yeti SB100, which we have already presented in BIKE 7/2020 to the SB115. Slightly more shock travel, an adapted rocker and, of course, a longer fork place the second-generation frame in the centre of the trail category. However, the generous tyres (2.5 inch front, 2.3 inch rear) and the heavy wheels not only increase the suspension travel, but also the weight significantly. A ready-to-ride weight of 13.6 kilos and wheels that are difficult to accelerate noticeably slow down the forward momentum of the bike from Colorado.

Find out how the Yeti SB115 (BIKE 10/2020) performs in the BIKE test lab and on the trail in our test. You can find the article as a PDF in the download area below.

The test costs 0.99 euros. Why not free of charge? Because quality journalism has a price. In return, we guarantee independence and objectivity. This applies in particular to the tests in BIKE. We don't pay for them, but the opposite is the case: we charge for them, hundreds of thousands of euros every year.
